Connectronics recommends Certified CAT5e and CAT6 Patch Cables.

Why Certified?... Because un-certified cables are batch tested. That means that only a sample number cables are tested in a batch and you could wind up with one that doesn't pass the category parameters required to meet the TIA/EIA standards. The problem is, you may not find out about this until you've installed one in your network and develop a problem. The price may be less expensive up front but, in our opinion, this is a dangerous move.
